Knowledge and Communication Technology
The unit conducts research and teaching in areas such as human-machine interaction, communication and technology enhanced learning. We are more than 20 researchers and teachers engaged in teaching about human-computer interaction, computer mediated communication, computer supported collaboration and learning, emotional-based systems, ubiquitous computing, visualization, multimodal systems, and communication studies. The focus of the unit's research is to study how information technology, i.e. communication and computer systems, support communication and strengthen the knowledge within groups of individuals and organizations. In our design and development of systems, we highlight and focus the users cognitive abilities, the physical-, organizational and social context.Director
