Change password

We use Kerberos to handle passwords. The Kerberos password is used for:

  • accessing the Debian GNU/Linux systems at DSV
  • accessing the Daisy system
  • SMTP, IMAP and POP accessing the DSV e-mail servers
  • accessing the wired Login network at DSV
  • accessing password protected web pages at http://dsv.su.se/

The easiest way to change your password is to use this web page.

You can also change your Kerberos password when logged in to a Debian GNU/Linux system at DSV in the computer rooms on floor 4 and 5 or at the Linux server triton.dsv.su.se. Start a virtual terminal window and give the command "kpasswd" and follow the instructions.

Note that the new Kerberos password can not be the same as the old one. You have to pick a new password.

In cooperation with KTH.
