Rules for usage of DSV's computer facilities

Equipment

Students at DSV have access to the PCs and printers in the computer rooms. This equipment is only to be used for study-related tasks.

Contingent liability

Datalagen (Law of information storage) and strafflagen (Penal code) applies to all usage of the department's computers. When getting an account, all students have to sign the form "Ansvarsförbindelse för användning av SU:s datorer, nät- och systemresurser" (Contingent liability for the usage of SU's computers, network and systems resources).

Booking equipment

The teachers book computer rooms in connection with their courses. The rooms can be booked for teaching or for priority. Priority means that the students taking a particular course have preference over other students. If a computer is required by a priority student, the other students have to leave.
