DSV's web servers

• DSV uses Apache web server software. Apache is currently the most commonly used web server (see http://www.netcraft.com/survey/).
• CGI and PHP programs are allowed for all users and are executed on a separate application server: http://people.dsv.su.se/
  This server is a so called LAMP-server (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
• The Apache server at http://people.dsv.su.se/ is configured for SSI, Server Side Includes. Use the extension ".shtml" to invoke an SSI. 
• Some pages on the web server are available only locally or after Kerberos authentication.
• Staff and students can publish personal home pages on the web server.
• DSV's webmaster has the technical responsibility for the web server. The webmaster can be reached at webmaster@dsv.su.se.
