About Computer and Systems Sciences
Computer and systems is commonly described as a field that bridges the gap between technology and the social sciences, humanities and behavioral sciences.
The focus in the field is in design, construction and use of IT systems in its context in relation to people, organizations and society. Studies in computer and systems sciences can also be combined with other fields and the department also offers several combination of education on basic and advanced level.
Research at DSV
The research conducted at DSV spans a large area where the most research projects are multidisciplinary. The research's goal is to develop and adapt the use of information technology (IT) to the requirements that people, organizations and society expect.
To do this a mix of different skills that contribute to the research is required. Competency in fields such as psychology, sociology, education and engineering are therefore included in many of our various research projects.
