Why choose business Intelligence?
Business intelligence is an area that deals with methods and techniques for collecting, organizing and analyzing data to support decision making. This track offers a unique combination of courses in systems analysis and information systems. Decision making is a core activity in enterprises and in many professions – from strategic decision making in management of companies to decision making made by the individual manager. Major decisions require that adequate information is available and structured in usable ways. Key competences for someone working with business intelligence include decision and risk analysis, data gathering, structuring and analysis.
The business intelligence track contains courses in information systems and system analysis, such as data warehousing, data and web mining, decision and risk analysis, and statistical programming. In addition to the core courses, the student can also take courses in adjacent areas such as systems analysis or knowledge management.
