Master of Science Programme in
Information Security
The master's programme in information security will give you a foundation in order to be able to direct, develop, implement, evaluate and maintain security within information and communication systems. The area is subject to aggressive development and tangents all parts of an organization, whether it be for users, customers, technicians or developers.
It is a challenge to develop and support secure information systems in a global environment so that all types of users can trust such systems when used for their own ends. This is true for economic transactions, issues of public health, general work related applications', indeed for all situations where the use of information and communication systems is under threat, both from without and within.
Requirements
Bachelor degree (180 ECTS) or equivalent. Knowledge in Computer and Systems Sciences is recommended.
Language proficiency
Minimum requirements: TOEFL 550 (computer based: 213); IELTS: 6,0 (both academic and general is accepted); Cambridge CPE or CAE, First Certificate grade B; if English is not your mother tongue.

Program Structure
The educational program contains both organizational and technically oriented security aspects; both threat and risk evaluation as well as applied security methods and methodologies and also standards management methods, best practices etc.
Semester 1-3
You will study a mixture of technical and organization oriented courses, encompassing information, network, communication and software security as well as risk, and security management including legal aspects of IT security.
For the third semester you may choose deeper studies into information security and/or supplementary subjects from other scientific areas. Furthermore, courses in scientific communication and research methodology are included, as well as the writing of a master's thesis encompassing thirty university credits (semester four). In the course of the program you will meet teachers with considerable practical and scientific experience from this field.
Semester 4
This semester includes writing a master's thesis encompassing thirty university credits.
It would be especially suitable to combine this program with earlier studies in computer and systems sciences, or even economics, behavioural sciences and law studies, not to mention more mathematical-technical fields of study.
