Results
A summary of the most important results of IT Management group from year 2007 (when the group has been established) till 2011 are presented below.
• The research activity done by the members of IT Management group between the years 2007 to 2011 has due to a number of 46 publications (5 licentiate theses, 2 book chapters, 6 papers in refereed journals and 33 papers in refereed conference proceedings).
• Between the years 2007 till 2011 a number of 5 students from IT Management Group have obtained their degrees of Licentiate of Philosophy/Licentiate of Engineering from Stockholm University and KTH - Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm (Edephonce Nfuka, Georg Hodosi, Norman Vargas Chevez, Johnny Flores Delgadillo and Anayanci Lopez Poveda). Furthermore during the years mentioned before the members of IT Management group have supervised and finalized a number of 17 master theses in IT Management research area.
• In 2010, the IT Management group has join as partner the Swedish Research School of Management and IT that is supporting financially two PhD students from our group. The Swedish Research School of Management and IT is financed by the Swedish Government and is a collaboration between 12 universities in Sweden.
• In 2011, the IT Management group has started a research collaboration with IBM Sweden in which Abhishek Sinha has join our group. He is an Industrial PhD student at DSV/Stockholm University and is doing research in the area of IT Outsourcing.
• In 2011, the IT Management group has started a collaboration with Global Institute for IT Management, New York, USA in delivering executive education in IT Management. The Global Institute of IT Management is lead by Dr. Jerry Luftman former professor at Stevens Institute of Technology New-York, USA and is a network of organizations (CIO net, Society for Information Management etc.) and academic people from universities (MIT, University of Oxford, London School of Economics, Stevens Institute of Technology, etc.) and also IT professionals.
