Project description
The project is a study of diagnosing and handling the IT project interdependencies. To understand the importance of having projects dependent upon one another has become a strategic imperative to many project portfolios in various industries, particularly in the IT/IS context. The interdependency of projects within a portfolio is needed to amplify the benefits from investing in projects, thus increase the productivity of the portfolio as a whole. One key aspect of this ground is that projects are no longer conducted as independent entities but rather are permeable and more open to each other. Although, it is widely perceived that project interdependencies can maximize the impact of projects to the overall success of the portfolio, they pose challenges for the manageability of the portfolio and the projects comprising it.
