Systems Analysis
Systems analysis deals with the study of complex systems - dynamic systems where people have to make good decisions, sometimes under uncertainty and time pressure. Developing an environmental policy and risk analysis for Stockholm City or investigating how Gotland would be affected by an epidemic flu are two examples of practical problems that can be approached with system analytic methods.
We conduct research in several branches of systems analysis with roots in many subjects such as mathematics, statistics, philosophy, psychology, and economics. Currently, our main activities are within the areas of decision and risk analysis, data mining, and simulation of complex systems.
