A top ranked University

Stockholm University is one of the largest universities in Sweden and the region's centre for higher education and research in humanities, law, and the natural and social sciences.

Stockholm University is internationally renowned, with a cross-disciplinary focus that allows flexible interactions between departments. Stockholm University is placed 129th in 2010 year’s Times Higher Education Magazine’s annual ranking of the world’s top 200 universities. Sweden as a country is placed 9th in the list of top study destinations.

Department of Computer and Systems Sciences

With over 5,000 students and 200 employees, the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV), is one of Sweden’s leading IT institutions. The department was formed in 1966, and encompasses networks of contacts between researchers in different fields within Sweden and abroad.

In addition to this, it is also a cosmopolitan meeting place for people of different nationalities and backgrounds. DSV is also collaborating with several universities abroad including China, Austria, France and Turkey, and Shanghai top ranked universities, such as Zhejiang University in China and Technical University Munich, Germany.
