Structured Specification of Information Systems Requirements

• Objectives

  The project is based on results from the ESPRIT Project 6612 "From Fuzzy To Formal". The F3 method is intended to facilitate the Requirements Engineering process, starting from fuzzy problems and goals in the enterprise, and trying to achieve a correct, complete and formal requirements specification for an information system.

  The project objective is to evaluate and improve the method by

  1. observation and test through a series of case studies
  2. evaluation and improvement of the method
  3. deeper studies of some aspects of the method
  4. evaluation of the improved method in new case studies

  The Swedish Ministry of Education, Volvo Data AB Skovde, and The University of Skovde. SYSLAB is acting here in an advisory position.
