eGovlab was the host of the 2017 competition where 30 government agencies and organisations opened their official public data to innovators. The competition lasted 24 intense hours over the weekend. The challenges for this year’s hack were Society Planning, Smarter Environmental Information and Tourism and Recreation.
Moreover, eGovlab hosted a workshop on blockchain in partnership with the MIT Media Lab. Participants included the Swedish agencies Arbetsförmedlingen and Transportsyrelsen. The discussions evolved around the potential of blockchain from decentralising authorities to enabling new forms of transportation through personalised consumption indexes. See you next year!!!
