The aim of this strategic mobility to Region Stockholm and Karolinska University is to enable the practical use of methods for de-identification of clinical free text written in Swedish. This in turn will avoid that the identity of patients will be revealed and enable disclosure control, and data describing symptoms, diagnosis and the outcome of the treatment may be used safely for medical research e.g. Covid-19. HB Deid de-identification tool that has been developed in the academy will be installed at Karolinska University hospital for pilot studies. New requirements on the tool will be collected and implemented in future versions of HB Deid.
