Systemvetardagen brings together IT students and employers
On 18 February 2026, Systemvetardagen takes place in the Nod Building. The event is an annual careers fair with a focus on IT and is aimed at students and recent graduates. This year, Systemvetardagen also celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Systemvetardagen is organised entirely by students at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) through the student union DISK. The fair is free to attend and does not require prior registration.

During the day, companies and organisations gather to meet students, build networks and discuss future career opportunities within the IT field. The programme also includes lectures by invited speakers.
Focus on the future of STEM
This year’s theme is “Inspire, Engage & Shape the Future of STEM” and highlights the skills needed in the future and the importance of positive role models in science and technology. As part of this focus, Systemvetardagen has invited non-profit organisations that work in different ways to spark interest in STEM among children and young people or to strengthen underrepresented groups within the IT industry. Participating organisations include Datatjej, Hello World!, Unga Forskare and Vetenskapens hus.
Lecture by the CEO of IBM Sweden
One of this year’s keynote speakers is Vahid Zohali, CEO of IBM Sweden, who will give the lecture “From Curiosity to Impact: A Personal Journey Through Generative AI and Cybersecurity”. He will talk about his personal journey in IT, from early technical curiosity to leadership roles in a global organisation, as well as innovation in a time of generative AI and increasing demands for cybersecurity.

Opportunity for interviews
Students will also have the opportunity to book individual interviews or introductory meetings with companies during the fair. Bookings are made via the Systemvetardagen website, where students can also upload their CVs and register interest in selected companies.

Systemvetardagen takes place on 18 February 2026, from 10.00 to 16.00, Shared Space in the Nod Building, Borgarfjordsgatan 12 in Kista.

After the fair, participants are welcome to join a joint after-event gathering in Foo Bar.
