- In accordance with the vice-chancellors decision, see the decision HÄR (148 Kb) (swedish), the goals of Future Learn project are to:
-Improve the quality of, and increase the scope of ICT-based learning in Stockholm University's educational programs.
-In particular support the University's new eacher training programs for ICT-based education in order to increase the digital literacy of both teachers and student teachers
-Develop and introduce modern forms of ICT-assisted examinations at Stockholm University
-Increase the use of simulation and visualization in education programs and teaching methods
- This describes how employees at Stockholm University can apply for funding for projects aimed at meeting these goals
- 200 000 SEK per project is the maximum amount you can apply for.
-Larger projects might be approved if there is a clear justification for this, and if the projects involve more than one department.
-The above sum is mainly for salaries, not for computers and software
- Project period is up to 1 year

-Maximum of 5 pages that contain the specified content mentioned below
-The applicant may write in English or Swedish

-Deadline for applications is March 15, 2012
- Notice of the projects supported will be announced at the end of April
-Project will start when you decide, but no later than 6 months from the
grant
Contents – specifically
- Name of main applicant
- Names of co-applicants (if any)
- Department or similar

- Specification of what you will do, including schedule
- Any previous experiences + Examples of what inspired you to apply
- Problems that you would like to solve / Educational benefits of the proposed project
- Description of the course - What type of course / program does the project refer to
- Description of how the project will be implemented and documented
- Information on how the results of the project are to be disseminated within and outside the department
- Schedule, including start and finish of the project.
- Amount applied for, divided into:
-The average wage and working hours for the main applicant
-The average wage and working hours for any co-applicants
-Estimated costs and working hours for any educational and technical support needed to implement the project
-Estimated costs and working hours for any educational and technical support needed to implement the project
-According to Principal decision, no overhead costs are paid from Future Learn
-Motivate your reasons for applying for this amount/ work efforts
-Validation from the head of department that he/she supports the application

Evaluation and selection
- The projects will be reviewed by a special group of assessors
- Decisions on which projects are to be prioritized are decided by the Steering Committee of Future Learn
- The vice-chancellor then formally decides for project funding
- Some consideration will be taken regarding the distribution of funding between faculties, departments and the project's four main objectives
- Note that there is a special pot for the Teacher Education programs
- Assessment of projects will follow a template that is to be developed shortly
- The following criteria can be included in this template:
-The applications are evaluated based on the four main objectives for Future Learn, that is, that the projects must relate to one or more of them to obtain funds
-The project's educational and innovative level is particularly important
-Priority is given to projects involving a large number of students, involving more teachers and/or crosses faculty or departmental boundaries
-Distinct educational gains and goals are important
-Priority is given to projects involving a large number of students, involving more teachers and/or crosses faculty or departmental boundaries
-Distinct educational gains and goals are important
-Applications which clearly indicates how the results should be disseminated, how other subjects/ disciplines can benefit from the developed method and/ or which indicates a clear timetable for the project, will be valued higher
-A clear and justifiable budget also gives a higher score in the assessment
-Project applications which include the purchase of computer equipment and/or software are prioritized only if the value added to student learning can be justified
